RCMP Press Release

This morning about 9:20 am, Langley RCMP received reports there had been threats made toward RE Mountain Secondary School. Out of an abundance of caution, RE Mountain Secondary and the neighbouring Peter Ewart Middle School were placed in Lock Down. All available officers responded to RE Mountain.
Initial investigation has revealed the messages were not specific to RE Mountain Secondary, or any school specifically. The school has been cleared and lockdowns of both schools lifted.
The investigation into where the messages originated is ongoing.
Our School Liaison Officers will remain at the school to work with school administrators.
