Extinction Rebellion blocks Granville Street Bridge in Vancouver, May 2, 2021 to bring awareness to Global warming. This is the second scheduled rally this week.

"A group of 30-40 protesters marched the streets of Downtown Vancouver towards Granville Bridge Sunday afternoon" says Cst Tania Visitin, VPD. "They remained on the bridge for several hours disrupting traffic flow."

The protest was peaceful and the majority of the people left the bridge, however police were forced to arrest the remaining 8 people for mischief and intimidation for blocking the roadway after several verbal warning were given. It is expected those arrested will be released pending a later court date
